(landing in Auckland on the 8th of December 2016
First international flight)
I love flying. From the busy airport, waiting in lines, finding where you need to be at the right time, holding your breath for take off, the tight spaces, swollen feet, cramped legs, small portioned airplane food and bumpy landing: I love it all.
I think what I love most is just knowing that there are adventures that lay ahead and there are memorable experiences awaiting upon arrival.
My flight to New Zealand wasn't supposed to be any different.
But, I - was - terrified.
Honestly, I'm not really sure how (or why) I made it all the way here, but I'm glad I did.
There is a lesson in my life that I keep learning over and Over and OVER again. And that is, sometimes you can find comfort outside your comfort zone.
I have had so many experiences in my life where I have held back, because I was afraid. But it is when I face my fears and come completely out of my comfort zone that I have the most joyful, memorable and amazing experiences.
It makes me think of this:
The Lord shows me daily that he knows me so much better than I know myself.
I am so grateful for his patience with me.
He never gets tired of my constant reserve to keep saying, "NO". Instead he waits patiently, silently, perfectly until I am ready to say Yes. Yes And Thank you.
Being here in New Zealand, away from my home and family was a terrifying thought. But now that I am here, I realize that this is just another example of the Lords love for me. He knew it would be hard for me, but he also knew that it would be good for me.
Sending my love from across the world. : )

Love you Jorja Peaches!!!! And you are right, sometimes the best adventures are outside your comfort zone :)
