A friend of ours told us that since we were here for Christmas, we had to check out the lights on Franklin road. She said there is a city regulation that everyone living on the street needs to have lights on their homes. The city even pays for the electricity. (I thought that was really interesting.)
I was really excited! It hadn't felt like Christmas since we came, so I thought the lights would be wonderful : )
(Kasia and I on our way to the lights)
On our way there, Kasia told me to expect nothing, and I would be happily surprised : )
I wanted to share some of them with you. This is the equivalent of Christmas lights in Auckland.
Lol : )
Loved the penguins
This is me, happily surprised : ) : ): )
Merry Christmas from New Zealand!
Merry Christmas from New Zealand!

It's funny that they put snowmen in the decorations when the obviously don't have snow :) On the other hand, I really love the ones with the kind of drapes of lights - so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteRight? Super funny.
DeleteAt a relief society activity, we went to a nursing home to sing Christmas carols and we sang songs like, I'm dreaming of a white Christmas and Jingle Bells.
I was like, wait. You know these songs? : ) (Most of them have never seen a white Christmas before... sad)
Kasia and I both agree that the draped light are our favorite, they are so beautiful! : )
